Media

Plan & Create

The Media section is where all image and video files uploaded to a workspace are stored. It’s your central library for reviewing, sharing, and collaborating on creative assets.

Tour

In Workspace Media, you’ll see all files uploaded to your current workspace.

  • Top Right Controls:
    • Search Bar → Find uploaded files by name or keyword.
    • Sort → Order files by upload date or name.
    • Tag Management → Add or remove tags to help organize your media.
    • Select Media → Tap to multi-select media files to organize multiple at once.
    • Trash → See media you've deleted. From here you can restore files or delete them for good.
    • Add Media → Add new media to the workspace.

Use the menu on any media card to Share to workspace (show it in another of your workspaces), Move to workspace (move it there instead) or Move to Trash.

AI Review

Click Retention Potential to have Deaku Assistant automatically review your video. This currently works for portrait (vertical, 9:16) videos only.

  • The Assistant watches the whole video, looking at the audio and visuals to produce timestamped feedback.
  • Reviews have a usage limit - hover over the button to see how many you've used and when they reset.
  • Once the review is done, the button changes to Review Complete.

Viewer Retention Predictor Heatmap

The review also creates the Viewer Retention Heatmap, which provides early insights into potential audience drop-off points and suggestions for improvement.

Indexing with Deaku Assistant

Click Index to let Deaku Assistant watch the whole video - it transcribes the speech, describes the visuals and builds chapters. Once the video shows Indexed, you can ask Deaku Assistant questions about it and reference it in chat.

Uploading a New Version

Made changes to your edit? Click the Upload new version icon on the review page to add the new cut as a new version of the same video.

Requesting a Review

Want a teammate to look at a video or image? Click Request a review on the review page and choose who. They get a review task in their Tasks list, due in 48 hours, which ticks itself off once they've reviewed. You need the Assign Tasks permission (Owners, Admins and Managers have it by default) - without it, the button is greyed out, and hovering over it tells you why.

Linking to Projects

Link media to a Project in two ways:

  • From Media Review, click the Link to Projects button in the Review Panel.
  • From within a Project, open the Media tab, click Add Media, then choose Link Existing to select files from the workspace.

Showing Media in Another Workspace

Work across more than one workspace? You can show a video or image in another of your workspaces without copying it.

  1. Open the menu on the media card and choose Share to workspace.
  2. Click Share next to each workspace you want it to appear in.

The item stays in its home workspace - nothing is copied. People in the other workspace see it with a link badge and can watch and comment on it, and everyone shares the same comment thread. They can't edit, move or delete it. New versions you upload show up there too.

  • To take it back, open Share to workspace again and click Stop sharing. People in the other workspace can also choose Remove from this workspace, which hides it there without deleting it.
  • To share an item, you need to have uploaded it or be an Owner, Admin or Manager of its home workspace, and be able to add media in the other workspace.
  • Items in the trash can't be shared. Moving or deleting an item stops it showing in other workspaces.

Sharing Media

Click the Share icon in the Review Panel to open the share modal. Share within your Workspace, with External Deaku users, or with a Link. You can control permissions for who can view, comment, or download your media.
