Workspaces
WorkspacesWorkspaces are the top level of organisation in Deaku. Each workspace is its own secure environment with separate data, tools, members, and channel connections. Everything you see inside a workspace - Projects, Media, Canvases, Calendar, Strategy, and more - is unique to that workspace.
You can access all the workspaces you own or are a member of.
For example, a user with three workspaces - “Oscar’s Workspace,” “Fergoscopy,” and “Rob Landes” - will see different Projects, Media, and Strategy in each.
Workspace Search
There is no single workspace-wide search bar. To find things in the selected workspace, use the search bar at the bottom of the chat sidebar for messages and people, the search bars inside Media, Canvases and Projects for items in those tools, or ask Deaku Assistant in the right sidebar to find something for you.
Create Workspace
Click Create new workspace near the bottom of the dropdown menu at the top of the chat sidebar. Enter a custom name (up to 30 characters) - you can change it anytime in Workspace Settings. On Pro you can also choose how much of your storage to give the new workspace. Free plans include one workspace, so on Free this option takes you to the upgrade options instead.
To join someone else's workspace with an invite code, choose Join a workspace from the same dropdown.
Workspace Settings
Each workspace has its own Workspace Settings. Access these by clicking the Settings icon next to the chosen workspace name. For more on this check out the Workspace Settings article in the Help Center.
Within the full Workspace Settings panel, you’ll find:
- Name & Logo: Change workspace name and logo.
- Workspace ID: A unique identifier (occasionally required for support).
- Collaborators: View profiles, manage permissions, and add/remove members.
- Delete Workspace: Permanently delete the workspace and all associated data. This action can only be done by the owner, and cannot be undone. Your personal workspace can't be deleted.
- Storage Management:
- Total Allocated → The amount of storage members have assigned to this workspace.
- Currently Used → Storage consumed by uploaded media. You’ll be notified when usage nears the limit.
- Contributors → Number of members contributing storage.
- Utilisation → Percentage of currently used vs. allocated storage.
- Members can adjust allocations from their personal Settings.
- Workspace Upgrades: Coming soon - add-ons for increased storage, increased file transfer limits, and additional team member slots.
- Integrations: Create API keys to connect AI tools to your workspace with Deaku MCP (Pro).
Connected Social Accounts & Account Groups
The Connected Social Accounts section in Workspace Settings is where you manage all your social media accounts and organise them into Account Groups.
Social Accounts
Click Add Account to connect a social account. You can provide a display name, handle, and profile URL. Each account sits either inside a Account Group or in the Ungrouped Accounts section until assigned.
Account Groups
Account Groups let you organise your social accounts into logical groupings - for example by brand, content stream, or audience. You might create groups like "Main Channel," "Highlights," or "Podcast," and assign the relevant social accounts (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) to each.
Account Groups are a Pro feature. On Free workspaces you can still add social accounts, but New Account Group is locked.
Creating an Account Group:
- Go to Workspace Settings → Connected Social Accounts.
- Click New Account Group.
- Give the group a name, an optional description, and choose a colour to distinguish it visually.
- Click Create Group. The group will appear in the Connected Social Accounts list, ready for accounts to be added to it.
Managing Account Groups:
- Click the chevron next to a group name to expand or collapse its accounts.
- Use the Add button on a group to assign a new or existing social account directly to it.
- Use the ⋮ menu on any group to Edit its name, description, or colour, or to Delete it.
- Accounts not assigned to any group appear under Ungrouped Accounts at the bottom of the list.
