Strategy

Your Strategy is the guiding light of your creative journey. It’s the shared foundation your team (and your Deaku Assistant) will use to align every idea, video, and campaign with your bigger goals.

Think of this as your source of truth for your content direction: your missions, your audience, your strengths, and the path you’ll take to grow.

You can build your strategy using Deaku’s guided Strategy Planner. This is fully editable after creation.

In the Strategy Planner, after you've created your strategy, you’ll find structured sections designed to help you clarify your direction and communicate it to your team:

• Overview A concise overview of your content strategy with a Strategy Summary, plus highlights from your Audience, Schedule, Content, and Suggestions tabs.
• Suggestions: Contains your content idea generator, powered by Deaku Assistant's artificial intelligence. See more below.
• Audience: Who you’re speaking to with your content.
• Schedule: Your recommended posting schedule.
• Content: Your content types, recommended platforms, and content recipe.
• Workflow: A step-by-step production process tailored to your setup.
• Advanced: Your content funnel to map how audiences move from awareness to loyalty, and suggested revenue stream targets.

Your team - and your Deaku Assistant - can reference this strategy at any time.

How it works

1. Open the Strategy Planner

Click the Strategy Planner icon in the top toolbar, click Plan Your Strategy on your Dashboard's Strategy tile, or open the Create your content strategy task in Tasks and click Show me how. If you have no strategy yet, you'll see a prompt to get started.

2. Complete the wizard

The wizard walks you through a series of questions about your channel and goals. These are the same questions co-founders Harrison and Oscar used to build strategies for many of the biggest creators in the world.

• Your creator level (follower tier, from Starter at under 1,000 followers to Celebrity at 10M+ followers).
• Your specialisation — your niche and area of expertise.
• Your social mission — the impact you want to have on your audience.
• Your commercial mission — your business and revenue goals.
• Your target audience — build detailed personas representing the people you want to reach.
• A SWOT analysis — your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Your time commitment — how many hours per week you can dedicate to content.
• Your team structure — whether you work solo or have collaborators.
• Your experience — what content creation background you already have.
• Any training needs — areas you want to improve.
• Your filming locations and equipment.

Your answers auto-save as you go, so you can close the wizard and come back later without losing progress.

3. Let Deaku Assistant generate your strategy

Once you submit the wizard, Deaku Assistant analyses your answers and builds a full strategy. Generation takes a few minutes.

4. Review your strategy

Your completed strategy is organised into tabs.

5. Edit, version, and download

Each section is independently editable. When you save changes, you can update the current version or save as a new version, giving you a full history of your strategy over time. Use the version dropdown to switch between versions.

Presentation Mode

After your strategy is generated, Deaku plays a full-screen Presentation experience that walks you through the highlights of your new strategy slide by slide. Click Start Experience to begin.

The Presentation is designed to be celebratory and immersive:

• Slides auto-advance, but you can navigate manually using the arrow buttons or your keyboard arrow keys (the space bar also moves forward).
• Press Escape or use the close button to exit at any time.
• Swipe left or right on touch devices to move between slides.
• Music plays during the presentation. Use the volume button, or press M, to mute or unmute it.
• If you have reduced motion enabled on your device, animations will be simplified automatically.

On the final slide, choose View Suggestions to jump to the Suggestions tab and brainstorm video ideas based on your new strategy, or See Full Strategy to explore your strategy tabs.

Brainstorm Ideas

The Suggestions tab contains your content idea generator, powered by Deaku Assistant's artificial intelligence.

Click the Brainstorm Ideas button (marked with Deaku Assistant's hand icon) to generate a fresh batch of video ideas tailored to your strategy. Each session is built around your content strategy.

• Your plan includes a set number of daily Brainstorm sessions. The button displays your remaining sessions for the day (e.g., Brainstorm Ideas 3/5).
• Once your daily limit is reached, the button shows a countdown to midnight when your sessions reset.
• Ideas you want to keep can be saved to your Saved Ideas list directly from the suggestions view.
• Ideas you want to reject are also saved and will help improve future suggestions.
• Click Add to Projects on any idea to start a new project with the details already filled in.
• Use the Saved, Created and Rejected tabs to look back over ideas you have saved, turned into projects, or rejected.

Downloading & Sharing Your Strategy

You can export your completed strategy as a formatted PDF document to share with collaborators, stakeholders, or clients.

Click the Download button in the Strategy header to open the Download modal. Here you'll see a preview of your strategy including key metrics (your primary goal, posting frequency, number of audience personas, and content types), as well as a checklist of every section included in the PDF.

To download, click the Download button in the modal. Deaku will generate your PDF and save it to your device.

To share, click the Share button. On supported devices and browsers, this opens your device's native share sheet. On other browsers, a set of platform shortcuts appears so you can share directly to other apps like LinkedIn, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, Email, or Slack (copying a ready-made message to your clipboard).

Permissions note: Only workspace Owners, Admins, and Managers can download and share strategies. Members with a User or Viewer role will see the option greyed out.

Adjusting Your Strategy

Your strategy should grow with you. Revisit it periodically based on your analytics and audience feedback.

A good strategy starts broad - then narrows through experimentation. As we like to say: throw spaghetti at the wall, then track what sticks.

Over time, your data will show which content types, topics, and platforms truly drive growth.

You can update your Strategy anytime - changes automatically update your workspace reference and Deaku Assistant’s understanding of your goals.

Viewing & Updating Your Strategy

At any point, you can:

• View your full strategy summary at a glance.
• Edit any section directly in the Strategy view.
• Export your strategy to share with stakeholders or external collaborators.

Deaku Assistant Integration

Deaku Assistant draws from your Strategy to give more personalised and relevant suggestions.

It uses your missions, audience personas, and tone to:

• Suggest video ideas and hooks aligned with your goals.
• Adapt its writing tone to you and your target audience.
• Tailor content feedback and help.

Your strategy empowers Deaku Assistant to act like a team member who truly “gets” you and your mission.
