The Right Sidebar

The right sidebar is home to Deaku Assistant. It sits on the right of every page, so you can ask for help without leaving what you're working on.

It replaces the Dock. If you're looking for something that used to be there, see Where did the Dock go? below.

What's in the right sidebar?

Your Assistant chat, with these buttons along the top:

• Previous chats (clock icon) - see and reopen your past conversations. Hover over a chat to rename or delete it.
• Usage ring - shows how much of today's Assistant allowance you've used. Hover over it to see when it resets.
• Chat title - click it to rename the chat.
• Assistant / Agent - switch between Deaku Assistant and Deaku Agent (Pro). See Deaku Agent.
• Open in full view (four arrows) - open the chat as a full page.
• New chat (+) - start a fresh conversation.
• Collapse - tuck the sidebar away.

Everything else works just like the Assistant anywhere in Deaku - type @ to mention workspace content, paste or attach an image, or record a voice note. See Deaku Assistant.

Opening, closing and resizing

• Collapse it - click Collapse in the top-right corner. The sidebar shrinks to a thin strip.
• Open it again - click the Deaku Assistant icon on the strip.
• Resize it - drag the edge between the page and the sidebar. It widens by itself the first time you send a message, to give the conversation more room.

The sidebar opens at its standard size each time you load Deaku.

Full view

Want more space? Click Open in full view and your chat opens as a full page - the conversation carries straight over. To go back, press Esc or click Back to docked view in the top-right, and you'll return to the page you were on.

Video comments in the sidebar

When reviewing a landscape video, you can move the comments into the right sidebar to give the video more room. Click Open comments in the side panel. A Video Comments tab appears at the bottom of the sidebar, so you can flip between the comments and the Assistant. Click Bring them back to return the comments to the page.

On phones and tablets

The right sidebar only appears on larger screens. On smaller screens, tap the Deaku Assistant icon in the toolbar and the Assistant opens as a full page.

Where did the Dock go?

Everything that was in the Dock is still in Deaku - it's just moved:

Minimised canvases, uploads and downloads still appear in the bar at the bottom of your screen, as before.
