Welcome to Deaku - your creative ecosystem built to help creators like you collaborate, stay organised, and make better content, faster.

This Quick Start guide will help you understand the core tools and take your first steps inside Deaku.

Getting Started

When you first sign in, Deaku adds a set of getting started tasks to your Tasks list and the My Tasks tile on your Dashboard. They walk you through the key first steps:

1. Take the Deaku tour - a two-minute walk through the parts you'll use most.
2. Create your content strategy - use the Strategy Planner to build your first content strategy (see below).
3. Create your first project - head to Projects and start your first campaign or video plan.
4. Upload your first video - go to Media and upload a video, then try a review with timestamped comments.
5. Create your first canvas - open Canvases and create a document or script.
6. Invite a team member - add a collaborator to your workspace.
7. Ask the AI assistant something - open Deaku Assistant in the right sidebar and send your first message.

Open any of these tasks and click Show me how, and Deaku will guide you straight to the right place. Each task ticks itself off when you do the real thing - there's nothing to mark manually. If you've already done a step, you won't get a task for it.

The tour starts automatically the first time you sign in. Skipped it? Open the Take the Deaku tour task and click Start the tour.

Create Your Strategy

The Strategy Planner is where Deaku Assistant helps build you a personalised content strategy from scratch. It’s tailored to you, and lays the essential foundations for your success with your content.

How it works

1. Open the Strategy Planner

Click the Strategy Planner icon in the top toolbar, click Plan Your Strategy on your Dashboard's Strategy tile, or open the Create your content strategy task in Tasks and click Show me how. If you have no strategy yet, you'll see a prompt to get started.

2. Complete the wizard

The wizard walks you through a series of questions about your channel and goals. These are the same questions co-founders Harrison and Oscar used to build strategies for many of the biggest creators in the world!

• Your creator level (follower tier, from Starter at under 1,000 followers to Celebrity at 10M+ followers).
• Your specialisation — your niche and area of expertise.
• Your social mission — the impact you want to have on your audience.
• Your commercial mission — your business and revenue goals.
• Your target audience — build detailed personas representing the people you want to reach.
• A SWOT analysis — your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Your time commitment — how many hours per week you can dedicate to content.
• Your team structure — whether you work solo or have collaborators.
• Your experience — what content creation background you already have.
• Any training needs — areas you want to improve.
• Your filming locations and equipment.

Your answers auto-save as you go, so you can close the wizard and come back later without losing progress.

3. Let Deaku Assistant generate your strategy

Once you submit the wizard, Deaku Assistant analyses your answers and builds a full strategy. Generation takes a moment and you'll see a progress indicator while it works.

4. Review your strategy

Your completed strategy is organised into tabs:

• Overview — a summary of your strategy with highlights from the other tabs.
• Suggestions - video ideas based on your strategy.
• Audience — your target personas and audience insights.
• Schedule — recommended posting frequency and timing.
• Content — the types of content to create and in what proportions.
• Workflow — a step-by-step production process tailored to your setup.
• Advanced — Content Funnels (awareness to conversion) and Revenue Targets.

5. Edit, version, and download

Each section is independently editable. When you save changes, you can update the current version or save as a new version, giving you a full history of your strategy over time. Use the version dropdown to switch between versions.

You can also:

• Download your strategy as a PDF.
• Play a presentation-style reveal of your strategy highlights. Great for new team members or sharing with others.
• Create New Strategy to run the wizard again and generate a fresh version (subject to your plan's generation limit).

Tips

• If you're not sure where to start, the Strategy Planner is the most impactful first step. Your strategy informs everything else you do in Deaku.
• Deaku Assistant is aware of any social channels you've connected to your workspace, so the strategy it generates will reference your actual platforms.
• Workspaces have a daily limit on the number of new strategies that can be generated. The remaining count is shown on the Create New Strategy button.
• Creating and editing a strategy depends on your role in the workspace. If you can't see Create New Strategy or can't edit a section, ask a workspace Owner or Admin.
